Dr. Saul Isserow is the Director of the VGH Centre for Cardiovascular Health, the Director of Cardiology Services at UBC Hospital, and the Regional Lead for Cardiac Rehabilitation at Vancouver Coastal Health. Learn more about what wellness means to Dr. Isserow and how he finds joy in medicine.

Dr. Isserow completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) in 1986. Dr. Isserow then moved to Saskatchewan where he worked as a General practitioner and completed training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He later completed training in Internal Medicine (1994) and Cardiology (1996). 

 

He is the Director of the VGH Centre for Cardiovascular Health as well as the Director of Cardiology Services at UBC Hospital. Regional Lead for Cardiac Rehabilitation, Vancouver Coastal Health. Dr. Isserow Received Master Teacher awards from Dept. of Anaesthesia in 2003 and 2013 and from Dept. of Medicine in 2010, People’s Choice Award VGH Medical Staff in 2000 and Vancouver Coastal Health Annual Award for Clinical Excellence in 2008. He was Cardiology Lead for the Vancouver Olympic Games in 2010.
