FILLING A UNIQUE GAP IN CARDIAC CARE

Sports Cardiology BC is unique in Canada and Dr Saul Isserow and his team have taken a national leadership role in this area. They want to ensure fewer athletes, from high-performers to weekend warriors to active baby boomers, experience a sudden cardiac event — and of those that do, that more survive.

Sports Cardiology BC meets a need that no other cardiac clinic does — pinpointing and treating hidden heart problems before lives are at risk.

After five years of significant growth, the team is poised to cement their reputation and extend their reach globally in the area of sports cardiology. VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation is seeking to raise funds to not only support this locally established yet world-renowned specialty program, but also celebrate the vision Dr Isserow has and continues to champion.

Funds raised will ensure the program has the leadership and flexibility to reach new heights across its four foundational pillars: research, education, advocacy and clinical assessment. By supporting this cause, you will save lives, keep heartbreak away, and change the course of British Columbia’s heart health for the better.
