The Event
Canadian Friends of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites you to our 3rd Annual Einstein Gala. Our special event will take place in Toronto on Wednesday May 24th, a date coinciding with Jerusalem Day - Yom Yerushalayim! The event will take place at the Park Hyatt Toronto, and be a celebration of this great city, its deep history and its vibrant future.
The gala will mark The Hebrew University’s efforts to enhance Jerusalem from a city associated mainly with the past, to a future oriented city synonymous with technology, innovation, and human imagination.
To this effect, The Hebrew University is currently developing the “Einstein Archive and Visitor Center”. To be located in Jerusalem, the Center will house all of Einstein’s personal letters, books and his most intimate thoughts and belongings will be on display for the world to see.
The Center will also serve as a hub for scientific research and collaboration for leading scientists from around the world, in fields ranging from physics to the many topics Einstein championed during his lifetime.
All proceeds from the event will go towards building the Einstein Research and Visitors Center in Jerusalem.
